Micronized Treatment

All Micronized Unipost machine rounded post and rail fencing and Cundy peeled products are manufactured from carefully selected FSC accredited redwoods. Following processing in the mill, the timber is kiln dried to a maximum 28% moisture content, prior to pressure treatment to BS8417 with MicroPro, the most advanced timber preservation system available.

Micronized timber has a more consistant, natural colour and carries a full 15 years 'in service' guarantee against rot, fungal decay and attack from wood boring insects, even when the timber is in permanent ground contact.

However it is recommended that any newly cut surfaces be retreated with a suitable timber preservative, but should not be put into direct ground contact.

In the United States of America, the Osmose MicroPro treated wood process has offically been recognised by the international standards accreditation body SCS as an 'Environmentally Preferred Product' based on Life Cycle Assessments.

NatureWood Treatment

Osmose NatureWood timber preseravtion, developed by Osmose Timber Technologies and Osmose Inc, is a waterborne, alkaline copper quaternary preservative system applied to timber through pressure treatment.

NatureWood timber products are suitable for above ground and ground contact applications, such as decks, fencing and landscaping projects, that do not require an extended gaurantee.

All M&M Timber Unipost and Cundy peeled posts, rails struts ans strainers are available in an extensive range of sizes which have been either MicroPro or NatureWood pressure treated.
